János Irinyi - Inventor of the safety matches
Did you know?
János Irinyi studied chemistry at the Vienna Polytechnic. After watching an unsuccessful experiment by his professor, Paul Meissner, Irinyi had an idea as to how to create a quiet, safe match. Instead of using potassium chlorate to ignite white phosphorus, he used lead dioxide in the head of the match. By making this change, he produced the ancestor of the modern safety match.
The package contains: handmade matches, candle (2pcs.).
Price includes 1 piece.
